Went to Slow Bar last night with some friends around 6:30 last night, and really liked the place. The burger I got was hands down the best burger I've ever had in PDX. Painted Hills beef, English cheddar, heirloom tomatoes, they are not messing around, and they even ask you how you want it done. The service was nice, friendly bartenders. Cool interior, going for a very modern look. Nice super-high booths and a great little "coffee table" area. The place got seriously hopping later. Interesting mix of some suits, some hipsters, and some rock and rollers. Hamm's cans for $2.50 isn't too punk rock, but that's a minor issue. Oh- try the fritto misto (basically it's tempura) - amazing. Will be back for sure!!
Pros: Excellent
food, Nice staff, Cool space

This is my new favorite bar. It is a great place where
class meets punk.
I like that I can order a cosmopolitan in a nice, clean, not smoky (really good
ventilation) bar and yet I can play SLAYER on the jukebox. The best part is that
despite its vicinity to downtown, they are still charging SE prices!
The SLOW BAR is the love child of a martini and a sailor jerry tattoo.
This is my version of Cheers thanks to the rad bartenders who are super friendly
and go above and beyond their call of duty...even to drunkards!
Plus they have giant circular booths (to fit 10 of your closest friends) that
have high backs for total privacy despite the small size of this bar.
I highly recommend this bar...they even have really good (non-trad) bar food!
Pros: Good
Ventilation, Great Jukebox, AWESOME STAFF
